The Valuation Office Agency (VOA) is an executive agency of HM Revenue & Customs. Most, though certainly not all, of the work we do involves compiling and maintaining the rating and council tax lists for England and Wales. Travelling By car
Travelling South on A19.
Take the A66 turn off sign posted Stockton/Darlington Airport, approx. 50 yards after joining the A66 take the first slip road for Teesside Park/Teesdale, keep to the outside lane, at the 1st set of traffic lights turn right, straight on at the second set and over the railway bridge. * There then follows a series of 5 roundabouts.
1st roundabout turn left
2nd roundabout straight over
3rd roundabout turn right
4th roundabout turn left
5th roundabout straight over. Immediately after this turn left. Drive to the barrier across the road and turn left.
Travelling North on A19.
Take the A66 turn off posted Stockton/Darlington, approx. 50 yards after joining the A66 take the 1st slip road for Teesside Park/Teesdale, keep to the outside lane. At the first set of traffic lights turn right. Straight on at the second over the railway bridge & follow the instructions as above from where marked *.
Travelling South on A1(M).
Exit at junction 59 Brafferton/Coatham Munderville and onto the A167 to Darlington. Take the A1150 to Great Burdon, then the A66 to Stockton/Middlesbrough. Continue travelling East along the A66 to the slip road for Teesside Park/Teesdale, keep in the left hand lane, at the traffic lights take the filter lane to Teesdale turning left over the railway bridge & follow the instructions as above from where marked *.
Travelling North on A1(M).
Exit at junction 55 onto the A66(M) heading towards Darlington/Stockton/Middlesbrough. Continue on the A66 until the slip road for Teesside Park/Teesdale, keep in the left hand lane, at the traffic lights take the filter lane to Teesdale turning left over the railway bridge & follow the instructions as above from where marked *.

Please note, there is no parking for visitors unless prior arrangements have been made with the office. Failure to make parking arrangements may result in your vehicle being clamped for which the removal fee currently stands at £100.

Thornaby Railway Station is approx. 5 minutes walk away from the office. If you are travelling by train please contact the office & a member of staff will meet you at the station.
