By car
From the West :-
Travelling along the M60 to junction 1 (the “pyramid” building can be seen to the right of the motorway at this junction). Follow signs for town centre along Travis Brow, through three sets of traffic lights down to the roundabout next to Stockport viaduct. Take the 2 nd exit (Heaton Lane) passing beneath the viaduct. Car-parking is available in the multi-storey pay and display to the left of Heaton Lane. Beckwith House is situated at the junction of Heaton Lane and Wellington Road North – next to “The George” public house.
From the East :-
M60 junction 1, signposted Stockport West. Follow signs for town centre around the roundabout, then as above.
Travelling by Public Transport
Stockport Railway Station – on main line to Manchester Piccadilly.
Exiting from main doors, follow Station Road down to Wellington Road South (A6). Turn left towards Stockport centre. Beckwith House is on the left next to the river Mersey.
Stockport bus station – Chestergate.
Beckwith House can be seen from the bus station to the north across the river. Pedestrian access to Wellington Road South (A6), is via the steps to the side of the bridge over the river. Alternative access – avoiding the steps – pass beneath the A6 into Mersey Square, then back across the A6 using the pedestrian crossing next to Debenhams. |
