By car
If you are coming by car:
The M62 is the major route and most direct route into the city from the national motorway network. From the North West, alternative routes are via the M58/M57. At the end of the M62 motorway follow Wallasey, Birkenhead (Tunnels), City Centre A5047. Continue along the dual carriageway for approx. 1 mile. Go over one set of lights (Peugeot car showroom on the left) and a short distance to the next set (Carpet World and OK diner on left). Turn left here. Follow the road across one set of lights to a roundabout and take the third exit, signposted Wavertree Technology Park. Continue past the station entrance on the left to the end where the road bears right and take a first left turn into Wavertree Boulevard. Continue along this bearing first left and then right to the next set of lights (opposite Matalan). Turn right and continue to next set of lights (Netto on left). Take the left fork into Harbord Street (signposted University & City centre) and continue up the hill across 1 sets of lights and proceed down hill through another set and proceed under the University walkway. Continue approx ½ mile and across the next set of lights into Mount Pleasant (RC cathedral on your right). Continue down the hill across one set of lights and near the bottom of the hill on the right is Mount Pleasant car park (Pay & display).
From North Wales and Chester by way of the M56/M53 via Kingsway tunnel (toll). On exiting the tunnel, loop left onto Scotland Road and follow signs for City Centre. Procees beneath the underpass and at the roundabout take the first left and proceed to the lights opposite Lime Street Station. Turn right and proceed for about ½ mile to traffic lights with the Adelphi Hotel on your left. Turn left and immediate right into Mount Pleasant. The car park entrance is on the left approximately 50 metres up the hill.
On leaving the car park by foot, turn left and cross over Mount Pleasant. Head towards Lewis’ Department store and cross over at the pelican crossing. Turn left into Ranelagh Street (McDonalds on opposite side). By Central station on your left, cross over, turn left and continue down Ranelagh Street for a short distance to the junction with Church Street (Lloyds/TSB on corner - pedestrianised area). The entrance to the office is approximately 50 metres down Church Street after the Alliance & Leicester.
Travelling by Public Transport
If you are coming by public transport:
Liverpool Lime Street station is a 5 to 10 minutes walk from the
office and is the main line terminus for Virgin rail services from
London Euston (journey time approx. 2 ½ hours). Cross country
services from the North East, Scotland, Manchester and the South
West also terminate at Liverpool Lime Street.
On exiting the station concourse turn left and cross over the road
via the pelican crossing at the junction of Lime Street/Skelhorne
Street into Richmond Street (former cinema on corner)and down the
pedestrian ramp past Argos and Woolworths into the main precinct
("Boots" on left), Clayton Square. Continue down Parker
Street past Tesco Metro on your right and walk to the end of Parker
Street (Dixons ahead of you). Turn left into Church Street. The
entrance to the office is on the opposite side of the pedestrianised
area between the Alliance & Leicester and the police information
centre.
Local rail services are operated by Merseyrail. Liverpool Central
station is situated on Ranelagh Street, 200 metres from the office
. Services run from here to most of Merseyside including the Wirral
and to Southport and Wigan.
