By car
From the Motorway
- From M1 Motorway Junction 21 follow signs for City Centre.
- This will take you along Narborough Road past a Church on the left hand side (after about ¾ mile), a Co-op next to traffic lights.
- Carry straight on and just after a Fina petrol Station on the left turn RIGHT at the traffic lights up Upperton Road.
- Carry straight on over the canal bridge (new housing on left) straight through pedestrian traffic lights followed by 2nd set of traffic lights.
- At the next set of traffic lights, the Leicester Tigers Rugby ground is opposite, it is left only but get into the right hand lane
- At the next traffic lights turn right (this takes you back down Welford Road) - there is a park on your left.
- Get into the left hand lane (bus lane) and filter round to the left (This is Waterloo way)
- Carry on over first set of traffic lights.
- At second set turn right.
- The Valuation Office is on the left hand side.
There is no visitors parking at the office, there is very limited on street parking nearby. There are 2 NCP's near the office on East Street (near train station) and Welford Road (entrance on Duke Street).
Welford Road NCP is located at the bottom of Regent Road and East Street NCP is located on Albion Street/Waterloo Way.
By Train
If you get a train from St Pancras you can travel to Leicester
without having to change.
- Leave the Train Station by the front entrance/exit onto London
Road.
- You will see a large set of traffic lights and pedestrian crossings.
- Cross these onto Waterloo way (go across to the right hand side
rather than the left as the pavement goes all the way along the
length of Waterloo Way on the right hand side).
- Walk along Waterloo Way until you get to a cross roads (again
with traffic lights) of Waterloo way with Regent Road.
- Turn to your left facing up the hill cross Waterloo Way going
up the hill.You will now be on Regent Road.
- The Valuation Office is in Enkalon House (number 92) which
is the first building on the left hand side.
By Coach
- If you travel by National Express you will
arrive in Leicester at St. Margaret's Bus Station on Gravel Street.
- From there turn right, walk along Gravel Street to Churchgate.
- There is a furniture shop called Langtons on the corner of Gravel
Street and Churchgate, at the top of Churchgate you will have
the Alliance & Leicester on your left and a sports shop on
your right.
- Cross the road onto Gallowtree Gate, walk up Gallowtree Gate
until you come to a junction with BHS on the left, Nat -West on
the right hand corner go straight on and walk up Granby Street.
- When you get to the end of Granby Street (with Blunts Shoes
on your left) cross over to the right if you are not on the right
hand side already.
- Then cross East Street and there is a large office block on
the he right hand corner, Royal and Sun Alliance, follow this
around the corner and this becomes Waterloo way.
- Then follow the directions as above from theTrain Station.
Once at Enkalon House
- As you enter the building you will see a reception desk on your
left. This is manned by a Security guard ( the owners of the building
have an arrangement with a security firm).
- Behind the desk, again on the left is a set of double doors,
go through these (there is no code although there is a lock on
the door) and Reception is the room on your left.
- Ring the doorbell by the little window that looks onto the corridor
and someone will come out to you.
