Welcome to the April 2003 Property Market Report, our first web
based edition.
If you need to know the value of residential land in Exeter and
Edinburgh and office rents in Belfast and Bournemouth the Property
Market Report will have the answer.
The report covers all the major sectors of the property market
and is based on valuations prepared by our local offices of typical
property types or ‘beacons’ that are defined at the
beginning of each section of the report. The beacons are valued
every six months in light of property transactions recorded, market
intelligence and local information obtained and verified by District
Valuers.
A feature of the report is that valuations cover a consistent and
representative range of property types and are not simply reporting
on property actually sold in a given period. A full methodology
is given at the end of the report.
Future reports will be available on the web site and will be prepared
from 2004 onwards as at January and June, a change from the previous
valuation dates of April and October. To maintain continuity over
this change over period there will be a limited update in October
2003.
