This is the first of our reports prepared with a January 'snapshot'
view of property values and all our future reports will be as at
January and July of each year.
All the datasets included in the previous reports have been retained
in this edition and this issue also includes a commentary on the
City of London property market covering the last fifteen months.
The commentary on the minerals industry that used to feature in
the autumn edition will be included in the July report.
The report covers all the major sectors of the property market
and is based on valuations prepared by our local offices of typical
property types or ‘beacons’ that are described at the
beginning of each section of the report. The beacons are valued
every six months in light of property transactions recorded, market
intelligence and local information obtained and verified by District
Valuers.
Previous editions of the report dating from Spring 2001 are available
on our web site by selecting ‘Publications’ on the
Home Page and then Property
Market Reports.
