What to do if you disagree with your rateable value

The rateable value of your property is a professional assessment of the annual rental value of the property if it was available to rent on the open market at 1 April 2003.

If you have reason to believe your rateable value is wrong, you should firstly contact your local office and speak to a member of staff, who should be able to help you.

If, after speaking to us, you still feel your rateable value is wrong, you can make a formal appeal.
